Welcome To Coast, Beach Lovers!

This blog was started on April 13th, 2005 to reflect my love and admiration of all things coastal. From the fine sand on Mission Beach in California to the boardwalk of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and every strip of sand inbetween. Have you ever sat on the boardwalk in Myrtle Beach on a warm summer night with the sounds of Chairman of the Board billowing through the open door of local shag club while the gentle ocean breeze whips through you hair? I have, and I'm telling you - it doesn't get any better than that on this earth.

As an avid scuba diver, coastal lover and beach freak, I intend to have links to most of the beach cams, ocean cams, boardwalk cams and anything else that will bring us closer to my greatest love. I'd love to post your neat ocean pics - the sun setting over the pier, the gulls following behind an ocean trawler or a child playing in the surf.

Wrightsville Beach Cam

Location: mms://stream.aroundtownnc.com/BeachCam

When I'm at work I like to fire up Windows Media Player and watch in real time as the waves break on the shore. This cam is located at the Blockade Runner in Wrightsville Beach. Evidently it has a light that comes on that notifies beach walkers that they are on candid camera! One of the best streaming videos I've found to date. If you know of another one, please let me know!
